Artist Inquiry
We have been exploring colour in our latest inquiry by becoming artists and showing our learning through art. This week we learned all about the words transparent and opaque. We learned that paint is opaque because you cannot see through it, but if you add water to it it can become transparent. We can also tell you what the 3 primary colours are!

January Learning Updates
Hello families,
We have been busy these past few weeks since returning from the winter break. We have talked about Winter and learned all about how the weather changes and what people and animals do in response to the changes. We learned that animals will either hibernate, migrate, or grow a winter coat to stay warm.
We have also learned some new vowel rules to help us read new words. Ask your child about Magic E words and what happens when 2 vowels go walking together! We practiced reading different words with these rules and found many word in our book that follow these words.

One of our new favourite things to do is play Prodigy to practice our Math skills. Our Grade 3 buddies came in to help teach us how to play and we have been having fun learning on it ever since. Prodigy is a great game to play at home during screen time to practice the Math skills we are learning in class.

Prodigy
Hello families,
On Friday a letter went home stating that your child has been signed up for a free Prodigy account. This is a website where your child can practice Math curriculum through play and is a great use of screen time.
You can find a link on the side of the blog or go to https://play.prodigygame.com/
If you have any questions please ask your child's teacher.
