Hello families,
We have been working super hard on our artist inquiry learning all about colour. We are going to have a Celebration of Learning on Wednesday March 4 from 1:30-2:15pm. All parents are invited to attend to come and see what we have learned about and created using colour.
We will be sending home an invitation this week as well with more details.

Pink Shirt Day

Jump Rope for Heart
Students at Saddle Ridge School are taking part in Jump Rope for Heart in the next couple of weeks! Ask us about the assembly we had on Tuesday! Students will participate in skipping activities in the gym, while also learning about keeping their heart healthy. Students have been given an envelope if they would like to collect donations, as well as online donations are accepted (http://www.jumpropeforheart.ca - JOIN YOUR SCHOOL- type in SADDLE RIDGE SCHOOL). Students who collect donations can earn prizes, as well as helping the physical education department at the school. All forms and money are due back on March 13.

100th Day of School
Tomorrow (Wednesday February 19th) is our 100th day of school!!!
We are really excited that we are all 100 days smarter and to celebrate we will be doing many 100 themed activities throughout the day.

Friendship Assembly
Hello families,
Tomorrow we have our Friendship assembly where the Grade Ones will be singing some songs and sharing some writing they have been working on the past few weeks. Parents are welcome to come if they would like. The assembly is at 9:00am in the gym.
We will also be doing some Valentine's Day activities throughout the day. If your child would like to bring in cards for their classmates please remember to bring in 1 for every student or your child will not be able to hand them out.

We have also been learning all about addition! We have learned how to use different strategies to solve and then explain how we solved a given problem.
