Orange Shirt Day

Hello families,

Just a reminder that tomorrow (Monday September 30) is Orange Shirt Day. Orange Shirt Day began in 2013 when residential school survivor Phyllis Webstad shared how her orange shirt was taken away from her on her first day at residential school. We are asking that students try to wear something orange to school on Monday in recognition of Orange Shirt Day.

Thanks,
Miss Waters and Ms. Gill

Terry Fox Run

We have been hard at work learning lots of new things the past few weeks. We have been learning our letters and their corresponding sounds, as well as learning how to represent numbers to 20 in different ways.

We also learned about Terry Fox this week and wrote some things that we learned about him.

Today we braved the cool weather and participated in the Terry Fox Run to continue his legacy.
