April 27th-May 4th 

The following tasks are to be completed by Monday, May 4th. You can do them in any order that you would like. The approximate time to complete your assignments are listed to help you plan your week. Remember to check out Mrs. MacEachern and Ms. Van Leeuwan’s Music and Gym Blogs for weekly activities! 

Literacy	Time- 3 hours
Virtual Field Trip!!!  -Go to the zoo website and watch videos on 2 of the animals there -Draw and write about what you learned in the video	(60 min)
Write the House -Go around your house and make a list of all the things that start with the last letter of your name	(30 min)
Independent Reading   -Recording yourself reading 3 books at your reading level on Raz Kids	(30 min)
Words of the Week (Juicy Words) -Practice the new words of the week! -Write detailed sentences	(30 min)
I Wonder Questions -Pick an animal from the Calgary Zoo link that you are unfamiliar with and ask questions	(30 min)

Numeracy	Time 2 hours
Patterns  -make 3 given patterns using items in your house (ABCD, AABBCC, ABAC)	(15 min)
Sorting and Measurement: -find some things in your house and sort them by size from smallest to largest	(15 min)
Numberless Word Problems -4 questions to answer in a google form	(30 min)
Prodigy -Questions on Subtraction and Addition to 20	(60 min)
Optional:  -Practice using various strategies to solve subtraction problems to 20

The following tasks are to be completed by Monday, April 20. You can do them in any order that you would like. The approximate time to complete your assignments are listed to help you plan your week.   

Literacy	Time- 3 hours
Reader’s Response Journal Entry  Draw, label, and colour a picture of your favourite part in the story  Write about your some of the things that happened in the story	(60 min)
Buddy Reading     - read Raz Kids, online book or a book you have at home with someone in your family	(30 min)
Reading    - Recording yourself reading 3 books at your reading level on Raz Kids	(30 min)
Words of the Week  Practice the new words of the week!	(30 min)
Keyboard Exploration      -write an email to your teacher using your   gmail account.	(30 min)

Warm Up: Jelly Bean Domino Subtraction  -find the missing number on and draw it	(15 min)
Skip Counting:  -Count to 100 videos skip counting by 1,2,5,10	(15 min)
