April 6-13 Online Learning

Hello families,

Tomorrow is our first official day of online learning and I hope you are all as excited as we are to start this new journey.  Below is a list of the assignments that will be posted Monday morning at 8am on the Google Classroom. They can be completed in any order over the week, so please go at a pace that works best for your child and your family's schedule.

Literacy Time- 3 hours Weekend Journal Entry  - Draw and label a picture, then write some about what your life has been like over the past few weeks.  (60 min) Buddy Reading    - read Raz Kids, online book or a book you have at home with someone in your family (30 min) Reading   - Recording yourself reading 3 books at your reading level on Raz Kids  (30 min) Words of the Week -Practice the new words of the week! (30 min) Scavenger Hunt: -Find objects that are specific colors and make a list of those objects.  -practice sounding out the words using letter sounds and chunks you know (30 min)   Numeracy  Time 2 hours Basic Facts Subtraction warm up -Monster Math Subtraction (30 min) Numberless Word Problems -3 questions to answer in a google form (30 min) Prodigy -Questions on Subtraction to 20 (60 min) Optional:  -Practice using various strategies to solve subtraction problems to 20 Have a great week of learning!!
